The laurel “Captains of Industry” to Shri Arun S Bhatnagar, our Director General of IIST/ IIP/IIMR by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Kamal Nath Ji is not mere an award but an outcome of his tireless efforts in pursuit of excellence. His visionary leadership is a true example of implementation of “Best Practices” in achieving the set goals in the field of education.
His vision of “Enhancing Employability Quotient with Holistic Development of students” is being achieved by introduction of various SIGs (IoT, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Networking, Cloud Computing, Android, Data Analytics etc.), Career Development Cell (to enhance the communication in English and upgrade the soft skills) and number of clubs for extracurricular activities including Games & Sports, which not only resulted in huge placement of students in core industries but also escalated the admissions in the institute by more than 300% in Engineering and 200% in Management in the last two years.
To inculcate the sense of responsibility towards Mother Nature and Society among students, he has initiated Organic Farming of vegetables and grains, Water Harvesting, Tree Plantation expedition and No use of Plastic in the campus under the GREEN WAVES MOVEMENT.
