IIMR organized ‘CHEF MANIA’ (FIRELESS COOKING COMPETITION) for MBA students on 26th February 2020. The aim of the competition was to provide a platform to the students to enhance their creativity and decision making abilities. Additionally, the competition motivated the students to develop and refine their skills like – Time management, Achieving Perfection, Team Work and Resource Management and put their theoretical fundamentals in a practical state of affairs.
The competition witnessed students’ participation in great number (40 students). The students prepared delicious and innovative food items like- Coco Desert, Sev Puri, Cheese Sandwich, Bhel, etc. and proved their adaptability in making food items without the use of fire. The students displayed their food items only to provide a real visual treat with a promise of perfect taste.
Dishes were judged by Honourable D.G. Sir, Dr. Simran Kaur Sandhar madam & Dr. Rakshita Puranik madam. Judges were impressed by the students’ efforts and the winners were announced amidst a neck to neck competition. Honourable D.G. Sir distributed certificates to the 1st, 2nd rankers (as there was a tie for second postion). Harshita Chopra, Neha Negi Jyoti Raghuvanshi secured 1st position and Durga Oswal, Garima Rathore, Shefali Newton, Sumit Vyas, Deepika Jaiswal, Kiran Rajput secured 2nd position.
